Farmall A built in 1946, serial number FFA147934. Has original 6 volt system that starts instantly every time with no smoke and runs smooth and well. Clutch is firm and both brakes work well as does the PTO. Also have hand crank if you like to show off. All lights are original and work. No welds in front end or elsewhere. No significant leaks. Tires are functional – fronts are pretty worn. All have not needed air in the 6 years I have owned this tractor. Rims are excellent. Paint is good brush/spray combo with nice decals and excellent grill and sheet metal. Gas tank has a minor dent and would need sand blasting for full restoration. Gas filter is always clean and the tank has no interior rust. Has the rarer toolbox under the tilt seat and the seat pad is excellent.This tractor has a Char-Lynn Hi-Lo-Pac PTO mounted hydraulic system that works well to lift the mower – sure beats levers! Even have original manual for this. Mower is a Woods 3 blade 5 foot in very good shape – I replaced spindles, belt and blades in last 3 years – it only mows 5 acres twice a year. Have front guard for mower and the leveling wheels in excellent shape – I find it works well without them using the lift chain to float. This tractor is great on the small acreage or on larger farms as an extra horse. It is ideal for mowing, with amazing visibility, comfort and control. I hate to part with it, but I bought a newer Case IH tractor with loader and can’t fit both. You can use this nice looking A for years with minor upkeep – or undertake an exceptionally easy full restoration this winter. Have a box of extras for the buyer who plans to use her.Can load on your trailer or for your hauler – no delivery by me unless I can drive it to you within 10 miles of 01330.Start at $900 and go.
