Up for action is a fresh from the farm 2440 John Deere tractor. Shows to be a 1978 model by my book. Tractor fires up and runs great. No major leaks, just a seep and small wet place here and there, smooth running. Power steering turns good. Tractor fires right up and runs good, We did charge the battery when we unloaded it and it started great. Might need a new battery though. It was traded in for a used tractor that a customer traded me for a new 4X4 cab Deutz-Fahr tractor. It was the guys neighbors tractor, I delivered the new tractor and brought this one back. We unhooked it from a brush hog. Customer said it was a good stout tractor. All I have driven it to load it on the trailer and unload it. Everything seemed to work as it should (for what I drove it). We have not washed it or anything, just charged the battery. The front lug nuts has a few studs broke, but he said they had been that way for the last 10-15 years. Thats what I noticed, it could have worse things and better things, it is a used tractor with some age on it. Tractor is being sold as is, where is. Look at the pictures, you be the judge. We are a new tractor dealer and can take a credit card or possibly arrange financing, (you will need to contact us early for financing).
